Project Size:

• Grant requests should be between £100,000 and £500,000​​.

Project Criteria:

• Projects should start on 1 June 2024 and conclude by 31 March 2025, lasting 6 to 10 months. They should be carried out entirely in the UK and aim to exploit the results within the UK. A minimum of two collaborative grant claiming partners is required​​.

Portfolio Approach:

• The funding aims to support a variety of projects across different technologies, geographies, and place types​​.

Research Categories:

• Funding is available for feasibility studies and industrial research projects​​.

Exclusions:

• Projects that are purely data gathering, focus on large-scale infrastructure without a place-based approach, maritime, airport infrastructure, on-vehicle developments, or use non-zero-emission vehicles will not be funded. Projects that are dependent on export performance or domestic inputs usage are also ineligible​​.
