Grant Overview:
The Women TechEU initiative, funded by the European Union, is designed to empower women-led early-stage start-ups in the deep tech sector. Aiming to support 160 women entrepreneurs across the European Union and Horizon Europe associated countries, the initiative offers a unique blend of funding and business development support. With a total funding of €3 million available in this first call, each selected start-up will receive €75k in grant funding alongside a bespoke six-month business development programme.

Eligibility Criteria:
· Applicants must be established in an EU Member State or a Horizon Europe Associated Country, with the company registered for at least six months at the time of submission.
· The start-up must be in the early-stage, defined as not more than 8 years old and having raised less than €1 million in equity funding.
· Women must be legally recognized as founders or co-founders and hold a top management position (CEO, CTO, or equivalent), with at least 25% of the company's shares.
· Projects should focus on deep tech innovations offering solutions to societal problems across various sectors.
Programme of Services: Beneficiaries will have access to a menu of business development services for 6 months, including:
1. Female Mentors: Guidance and support from experienced women mentors.
2. Investor Outreach and Pitch Preparation: Assistance with pitch presentation and introductions to investors.
3. Investor and Export Readiness Check: Assessment and preparation for investor pitching or client presentations.
4. Soft Skills Training: Development of skills like public speaking, leadership, and productivity.
5. Sales Strategy & Execution: Guidance on developing effective go-to-market strategies.
6. Environmental Impact Assessment: Support in understanding and reducing the environmental impact of their innovations.
7. Corporate Access: Opportunities to connect with potential partners and customers through the EIT KICs network.
Application Notes:
· Women TechEU supports women in all their diversity, including cis women and transgender women legally recognised as women.
· The lead applicant must be a woman, verified by their Identity Card.
· The initiative encourages applications from all deep tech fields and seeks to address under-representation in the sector.
